Who we are

About Portugal Getaways

Portugal Getaways is a Portuguese travel brand that plans and sells vacation packages to mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores, with flights, hotels, rental cars and experiences in a single booking. We are part of Inovtravel, a licensed Portuguese tour operator (RNAVT 3877), and our local travel experts help you build each trip by phone, live chat or online.

Our Story

Our founder and CEO, Luís Nunes, grew up in the Azores. After working as a software consultant and at Azores Airlines, he saw that the islands had far more potential as a destination than the booking tools of the time could show.

In 2011 he founded Ideastation - Soluções Informáticas to develop search and booking software for travel. The next step was to use that technology in a travel company of its own, and Inovtravel (Innovation + Travel) was born.

Inovtravel went on to launch three travel brands for different markets: Azores Getaways, Portugal Getaways and Yes Getaways. Since then, they have brought thousands of travelers to Portugal.

What We Do

Portugal Getaways puts together vacation packages that combine international flights, hotels, transfers, rental cars and tours, so you book the whole trip in one place. You can choose one of our ready-made packages or ask our travel advisors to build a tailor-made trip around your dates, budget and interests.

Destinations: Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, Madeira, the Azores, the Douro Valley, Évora and the Alentejo, and multi-destination trips across Portugal, with options in Spain and Morocco.
Trip types: fly and drive packages, tour packages, all-inclusive stays, cruises, group trips and tailor-made trips.
Planning help: local travel crafters who know the destinations, by phone or live chat.
